Smitten...

Smitten has been my favorite word since highschool.  Growing up we had a boat, and I thought it would be  great name for a boat.  Now that I am an adult, I think Smitten is a perfect name for our small business.  The definition of "smitten" is to be captivated; affected by love; to be enamored or to be struck by.   I have taken liberty with the last part - "to be struck by"  - to mean that you really like it.  I argued with my high school teacher over this word, and she proved to me that it has dual meanings....not only does it mean to be enamored with, but the past tense, "Smote," means to literally be hit by something.  I think it's funny, and it is all semantics, but I love words, and the dual meaning of "smitten" is perfect for our awesome products!

Smitten was originally Shelicious Bling.  It was founded in March 2009 by two friends that realized they shared the same passion for handmade & affordable products.  My husband, Mark, jumped on board in May 2011 when he realized how much fun I was having!

We have come a long way since we first started and have learned a lot along the way.  We constantly strive to provide our customers with a quality, unique product at a very affordable price.

We love to make custom products, from jewelry for bridal parties to coordinating team jewelry and other custom work ...contact us, we would love to help you out!

We hope that the love, creativity and passion that we put into each product helps each of our clients to be "Smitten!"

About Sheila...

I started by fixing some of my broken jewelry in college, and realized that I really enjoyed "playing" with my jewelry. When Anna and I realized that we shared the same passions, we taught each other and ourselves the true art of designing.  Jewelry has truly become a passion of mine.

First and foremost, I am a wife and a mother.  Both my husband and my son look at and comment on nearly every piece I make - sometimes he even has a great idea!  I couldn't do all this without their help!

While I genuinely love making all of my jewelry, over the past year, I have realized that I love making jewelry for the younger girls.  I love seeing young girls get excited and begin the passion for jewelry that I have!!!  I have heard so many parents say "she normally doesn't like jewelry..."  That makes me feel so good that the girls like what they see at Smitten!  I love it and I hope to get the opportunity to make you something!!!!

About Mark...

Mark is a combat veteran of the Iraqi War.  He has had lots of jobs over the years and never been truly satisfied.  Mark jumped on board in May of 2011. For 2 years he watched me having so much fun with my business and then decided he wanted to be a part of the fun too!   He loves kids (he is hands down the BEST DADDY EVER...Zack'll tell you!) and he truly enjoys making each of his handmade items.
